About our wine cellar

Our wine cellar, established in Mori back in 1860, is now situated in Volano, a small town nestled in the lush vineyards of the Lagarina Valley, south of Trento.

Our wine cellar today

The cellar, in the wine growing heart of Trentino, is equipped with the most modern technologies suited to every production process. Surrounded by nature, Concilio confirms its green soul in the choice of energy for its production process. Indeed, it has installed a photovoltaic system that meets most of the company’s energy needs.

The history of our wines

The cellar’s most representative wine, the Mori Vecio, was first produced in the sixties following an increase in the viticulture of Merlot and Cabernet.  In Trentino, our cellar was one of the first to develop a Bordeaux blend, with the harvest of 1967.

Through its careful selection of vines over time and of terrains with a vocation for every single grape variety, Concilio has become one of the leading producers of high quality Trentino wines: from typical native wines, such as Nosiola, Marzemino and Teroldego, to the distinctive Sauvignon Blanc, Müller Thurgau, Gewürztraminer and Lagrein, and through to international grape varieties.
